Rebuilding the Ancient Ruins

HI....so for the Sunday ladies...this weeks homework is pretty hard and heavy for some...hangeth thou in there....it's worth it....don't rush through it...you are on the brink of healing...do the work...hash it out with God...it's going to take some time...this is just the beginning...know that I'm praying for you.

I'm a little behind on my homework, but tonight I just read that I am a treasure of God. That is such a hard concept for me to get my head around.

Hi All,

I am praying for you as we go through this study. I am excited to see what God has in store for us. I know for me I am really struggling with how Breaking Free squares with long term mental health issues that I have. I would love to hear if any of you struggle with mental health issues and how you deal with them. Maybe over time we can become a support for one another.

Week 3 Removing the Obstacles

Hopefully you're all still hanging in there with the study! As Beth likes to say, she's "getting in our business!" wouldn't you agree?!

We've seen there are 5 benefits that belong to us as God's Servants and Witnessess, but now we are seeing that there are 5 obstacles that can hinder receiving these benefits.
* the Obstacle of Unbelief
* the Obstacle of Pride
* the Obstacle of Idolatry
* the Obstacle of Prayerlessness
* the Obstacle of Legalism

Recognize yourself in any of these? To be honest I do in all of them...that's good...that means I am aware of where I need to get busy and clean house.

What is God showing you?

Breaking Free-Making Liberty in Christ a Reality: Question: What is God saying to you after todays c...

Breaking Free-Making Liberty in Christ a Reality: Question: What is God saying to you after todays c...: "Hi Ladies...what is God impressing upon you after after Beth's teaching and through your homework? Thoughts? Comments? Please do share..."

1st week 2nd day into book and I'm face down, flat on the floor ...........I came from small church to Champaign & a big church in 2009. Never felt a part of the big church.......found a lot to whine about........and often wondered why God had put me here, in this BIG church..........I mean, back home 160-180 people was a good Sunday crowd.......I was very active there......knew everyone.......helping everywhere....EVERYONE knew me.

Back to 1st week 2nd day BS with BM............I realized why God put me here.........too much pride.......LOVED all the attention and praise and "couldn't of done this without you"s in that smaller church............

God put me in a BIG church to humble me...........to get rid of that pride and much much more......my Pastor, back home, said to me: "I know God has great plans for you in Champaign".......at that point I was thinking " Plans of Greatness".........humbling.........yes.

Convicted

Hello Ladies, my name is Liz Ewing. I have been convicted on a few accounts. I will explain a few... I was just reading a comment from Brenda's post about our feelings after class on Sunday & I was finding it rather hilarious almost til the end. Then I noticed my posture had changed, my hands began to sweat a little (mind you, it is freezing in this office). It was at that moment a realized she was talking about me.

I have to confess, today is Friday & I was just completing Day 2 of this weeks homework. And wouldn't you know, the lesson happens to be about "Glorifying God". In the last minute or two I have, read a passage in my bible, responded to a question in my workbook, answered the phone & responded to an email. Talk about multi tasking! But, did I give my undivided attention to any of the things I just mentioned?

Then I got to thinking about last night when my daughter & I were eating dinner & how I was thinking I needed to hurry & get a nap before heading to job #2 while she was trying to vent her frustrations & highlights of her school day. If that's not enough, how I was rushing to get her to school this morning for a meeting & hardly had the time to chat with her before she got out of the car to start her day.

Ok, now I have a stake in my heart because my life is so rushed that I have hardly taken the time to reflect on anything. Is this a life pleasing to Christ? Am I glorifying God through my actions? Well, if I were the judge I would give myself a couple of days in jail to think about my actions. Lord knows this is exactly what I am trying to get rid of. My shackles are wearing me down. I can hardly drag my feet they are so heavy. I want a get out of jail FREE card.
