FALL 2015
Insight Classes & Events
At Windsor Road you’ll find a culture in which life-changing knowledge is pursued within the context of community. You’ll find studying the Bible to be an enriching, rewarding experience as you build relationships and make connections.
Whether you decide to be a part of a Sunday morning class that meets year round or a class that meets for a season, the idea is to learn and grow together: discovering relevant truths that can be applied to everyday life.

Bible Basics
Bible Basics is a 6-week class that will introduce the fundamental basics of a personal relationship with Christ. You will find encouragement as you see what the Bible has to say about creation, sin, salvation and prayer as well as other crucial topics. Whether you are looking into Christianity for the first time, are a new believer, or just looking to fill in some gaps, this class will serve as the perfect foundation for building intentional discipleship and a solid commitment to Christ.
Sun., Sept. 20-Oct. 25, 10:45am (Room 153)

ReImagining Evangelism
Is evangelism only for preachers and apologists? What if I'm not a public speaker or I don't know how to answer hard theological questions? If sharing about Jesus is supposed to be so great, why is it so hard? And why don't my friends seem to care? You really can be an evangelist, but it might not look like what you expect. Come learn what it means to do what you love and be who you are while sharing your faith. We'll talk about different styles of evangelism, how to turn everyday conversations into spiritual conversations, how to share your story naturally, and more!
Sun., Oct. 4-Nov. 1, 10:45am (Room 109)
Led by Nate & Laura Amodio

The Book of Micah | The God Who Restores
Feeling broken?  Any parts of your life need to be restored?  Meet Micah! The OT Prophets afford us the chance to meet God and allow him to work in our lives.  Join us as we listen to the prophet Micah.  We'll seek to hear him in the setting of the 8th century BC, learn how to read the book of an OT prophet, understand his vision for God as the One who restores all that is broken in life, and brainstorm how to use this book's teaching in 2015.
Sun., Sept. 27-Oct. 25, 10:45am (Room 106)
Taught by Ken Cuffey

Kingdom Man | by Dr. Tony Evans
Every man’s destiny, every woman’s dream. Our culture has redefined manhood by emasculating men through a repositioning of the role. Men are portrayed as weak, self-serving, and unfocused. When a man functions within the principles of Biblical manhood, those around him benefit from his leadership and care. This study challenges and equips men to fully understand their position under God, learning to operate under the authority of Jesus Christ.
Sun., Sept. 13-Oct. 25, 9am (Room 110)
Cost for book: $14**

Restless | by Jennie Allen
Ladies, it is possible to waste our lives. We don't want to live feeling empty, numb, or bored. So God stirs restlessness in our being that won't go away. We were designed to dream. We are called to dream. We must dream. And like Joseph, we may discover that our dreams have greater purpose and meaning than we ever imagined. Using the story of Joseph, Jennie explains how his suffering, gifts, story, and relationships fit into the greater story of God—and how your story can do the same.
Sun., Sept. 20-Nov. 8, 9am (Room 106)
Led by Jen Johnson & Brandy King
Cost for workbook: $13**

Breath-The Life of God in Us | Beth Moore
We often neglect the Holy Spirit to our own detriment. We simply cannot fulfill the mission God has called us to do without walking in the power of the Holy Spirit. In John 20:22 we read how Jesus breathed on His disciples and gave them the gift of the Holy Spirit. His Spirit is available to all believers. Join us as we study and reflect on the person, the work and the power of the third person of the Trinity. Childcare available for AM class only with pre-registration.*
Wed. Sept. 16-Oct. 21, 9-11am (Room 109) or 6:30-8:30pm (Room 106)
Led by Brenda Tennill (AM) & Karen Slaughter (PM)
Cost: $12**

Breathe-Making Room for Sabbath | Priscilla Shirer
One of the greatest challenges among women in our culture is taking time to stop and cease from all the activities and busyness and just breathe. We are in bondage to busyness. We constantly strive to complete the limitless to-do lists that hinder us from experiencing all that God has for us. We miss the moments because we rush ahead to the next thing. By neglecting time for tranquility, serenity, and repose, we limit our Christlikeness and miss out on some of God's greatest gifts. It is time for us to breathe and build margin into our lives for God. Childcare available for AM class only with pre-registration.*
Wed., Oct. 28-Dec. 2, 9-11am (Room 109) or 6:30-8:30pm (Room 106)
Led by Brenda Tennill (AM) & Karen Slaughter (PM)
Cost: $12**

Conversations | Lunch Seminar
Several times a year we offer informative and challenging seminars on a variety of subjects.

A Christian Understanding of Homosexuality and Gay Marriage | by Todd Daly
The recent Supreme Court ruling which now legally recognizes same-sex marriage may have profound implications for our country. Christians who may oppose homosexual unions may not always know why they disagree. Moreover, Christians who are outspoken on such matters face a tidal wave of vitriolic opposition, and are often accused of being discriminatory, unloving, or "homophobic." What does the Bible say about homosexuality and marriage? How do we faithfully bear witness to Christ in a culture that has adopted "Love is love!" as its mantra and equates 'opposition' with 'hate'? Join us as we have a loving conversation on a very difficult topic. *Childcare available with registration.
Sun., Oct. 4, 12:15-2pm (The Garage)
Lunch cost: $7 donation
