Moms at WRCC | Mommy Moments

Being a mom is one of the most important jobs out there, but sometimes it feels like the to-do list is never complete and you never get a moment to take a break. Join us on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month for a time of refreshment, encouragement, and fun with other moms as we talk about the fruit of the spirit and motherhood. This class meets the second Saturday of each month. It offers an opportunity to strengthen your marriage and fellowship with other WRCC couples. Perfect Harmony | Dr. Joe Thomas

Martin Luther King, Jr. famously said that Sunday morning is the most segregated hour in America. What does the Bible have to say about race?  Joe Thomas, Assistant Professor of Church History at Urbana Theological Seminary, will speak about a group of churches in American history who were able to “cross the color line” of American segregationism at the turn of the 20th century.  Dr. Thomas will explore how these churches read the Bible differently from other churches allowing them to practice inter-racial fellowship.  He writes on this very topic in his new book Perfect Harmony. Ethics at the Edges of Life | Dr. Todd Daly

This interactive seminar is a follow up to the Death, Dying and Medicine seminar, and will continue to explore medical ethical issues at the beginning and end of life, from prenatal testing to palliative medicine. Dr. Daly's brief presentation will be followed by a panel discussion featuring several of Windsor Road's own medical professionals, where you will have an opportunity to hear about these ethical issues from a Christian perspective, and to ask your own specific questions. Baptism Class

Curious about baptism? Come learn about this important ordinance, its meaning, and its significance.  This one-day class is for you if you are just thinking about baptism, or if you are ready to take this step of commitment. Grief Share | Surviving the Holidays

Facing the holidays after the death of a loved one can be more difficult than your friends and family may understand. This one-time session offers a video featuring Christian experts, among others, who have experienced the death of a loved one. Be prepared for the emotions the holidays might bring.

We are blessed at WRCC to have a dedicated team of childcare workers who genuinely care about children. Our childcare workers are compensated for their time in caring for the children so that parents are able to participate in Bible study classes. The fee for each child to attend a weekly class is $5 with a maximum family cost of $10 per week. Childcare scholarships available upon request. Sign up required to reserve childcare.

When we hear the name Gideon, most of us think about his 300 soldiers or the fleece he laid out under the evening sky. But Gideon's story is so much bigger than that—bigger than any one man and his mark on Israel's history. Like everything else in the Bible, this is a story about God and His people. His love for them, as well as His strength operating in spite of their weakness—even through their weakness. And because God's people includes you and me, Gideon's story is also about us—our lives, our doubts, our struggles, and our possibilities as believers.

Run for God
Run For God is both a Bible study and a 5k-Marathon training program. It teaches individuals how to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ while also illustrating the parallels between an endurance sport and the endurance that faith requires. This study is for everyone, beginners to marathoners! Working together, students are not only prepared for a race at the end of the course, but for a closer relationship with a loving God who wants to see us run for Him! Death, Dying, and Medicine from a Christian Perspective | Dr. Todd Daly
Advances in medicine have profoundly shaped the way we view death and dying. For the first time in history we are now empowered with new technologies and procedures to forestall death, though it has come at a price—extended, costly stays at the ICU, procedures that may prolong life but also prolong dying, and the heavy burden of 'playing God' in determining when to remove feeding tubes or life-support. If, as the Bible says, death is the final enemy (1 Cor. 15:26), how far should we go in enlisting the powers of medicine to battle against it? What is a good death supposed to look like? This seminar will address these conundrums of modern medicine from a Christian perspective. Childcare available. *
